Holistic Clinical Care was founded by Carly Hartshorn, a Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years spinal, neurological and urological experience offering unsurpassed knowledge within this complex area of management. Her vision was to help support individuals following catastrophic injury or illness to prevent complications and associated issues so they can live their best lives.

Nursing is a profession that requires a diverse range of skills and knowledge to provide effective patient care. While nurses possess remarkable abilities, it is important to recognise that they cannot be experts in every aspect of nursing. Acknowledging this reality, we have developed a team of nurses with genuine interest and post-graduate training in specialist areas such as continence, wound management, neurogenic bladder and bowel management, catheter care and management of neurological conditions . By combining their expertise with general nursing care, we strive to provide comprehensive and high-quality healthcare services.

This combined with a truly holistic approach to managing individuals within the community enables us to support all aspects of our client’s injury or condition throughout different life stages following injury or diagnosis.

Carly’s experience is further enhanced as in her personal life her husband is a paraplegic following a motorbike accident on Christmas eve 2005, which provides her a unique perspective of the lived experience of disability.
